Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. He is a mixed-race child of Manny James, and Patty James. He is the son of an Nigerian father and a Caucasian mom. When he graduated from Sanderson High School, in 2010 he enrolled at Wake Forest University and obtained an Economics Bachelor's Degree. James gained fame when he appeared on The Bachelorette as a reality television star. The Bachelor season 25 premiered in 2021. The following Bachelor was James, who became one of the very first African American to play the lead character. James was the ideal selection for the role since he's rounded tall, large and has great humor. The series ended when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to start a relationship with the actress. James teamed up with popular dancing star Arnold in 2021 to compete on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold finished 12th.
