Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. Her fame was due to her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress.
